Representative Abe Hamadeh (R-AZ) announces a new bill that would mandate sanctions on the Houthis, a Yemeni militant group backed by Iran. “The biggest disaster Joe Biden did under his term was stopping the Saudis from conducting their aerial campaign against the Houthis,” he explains. “I mean, the Saudis understand their neighbors better than we do. They were taking care of business on their own and Joe Biden, when he took office, he delisted them as a terrorist organization while we were still getting missiles fired at our assets in the Middle East from the Houthis.”

Wen Abe Hamadeh traveled to Lebanon in 2018 to attend a family wedding, he was turned back at the airport in Beirut and denied entry into the country. His passport had an entry sticker from Israel, the result of a trip there when he was in law school, where he saw firsthand its multicultural and multiethnic society, visiting Jerusalem, a Druze village and a Bedouin group.
