FY2026 Appropriations Disclosures
Project Name: Phoenix Fire Member Services Building Renovation
Requested Amount: $1,500,000
Intended Recipient: City of Phoenix

Project Description: Funds will be used by the City of Phoenix to renovate the fire departments member services building, which has not been updated since the 1960’s. The updated building will provide services to first responders, retirees, and their families for generations.
Project Name: Law Enforcement Simulator Training Equipment
Requested Amount: $1,900,000
Intended Recipient: City of Phoenix

Project Description: Funds will be used to purchase a Helicopter Training Simulator for the Phoenix Police Department’s Air Support Unit. The simulator will be used as a resource to train and equip the Air Support Unit’s flight crews. This will enable the unit to fulfill its mission of public safety and effective deployment of resources, enhancing capabilities for preserving life and property, suppressing crime, and encouraging community engagement.

Requested Amount: $2,850,000
Intended Recipient: City of Peoria

Project Description: Funds will be used to purchase a Police Helicopter for the City of Peoria’s Public Safety Aviation Unit. The helicopter will enhance operational capabilities by delivering rapid and reliable air support, bolstering public safety infrastructure, and addressing the increasing safety demands of the West Valley.

Requested Amount: $1,998,000
Intended Recipient: City of Surprise

Project Description: Funds will be used by the Surprise Police Department to purchase 15 up-fitted Police Cruisers to support the Police Departments efforts to prevent crime, improve public safety, and enhance operational effectiveness.
Project Name: Veterans Legal Services Hub
Requested Amount: $1,000,000
Intended Recipient: Arizona State University

Project Description: Funds will be used by the Arizona State University Veterans Legal Service Hub to enhance justice and public safety by providing free legal assistance to veterans. The Hub will address service-connected criminal charges, discharge upgrades, disability claims, and broader legal matters for veterans at Arizona State University and across Arizona.
Project Name: Radio Communications Upgrades
Requested Amount: $2,000,000
Intended Recipient: City of Glendale

Project Description: Funds would be used by the Glendale Police Department to outfit their officers with the latest radio technology. As their current technology approaches its end-of-life, the risk for equipment malfunction or failure increases significantly. The purchase of new radio’s would not only increase communication from the field, but passively allows officer safety data such as location, to be collected as well. This funding request would increase public safety and the safety of their officers.
